Ed's $Buck$ and EPR Pen Blanks

Precautions to be observed when turning any acrylic:
  • Use very sharp tools while turning and take light cuts.

  • Wear face and eye protection and keep observers away from the turning area.

  • DO NOT turn at excessive speeds.

  • Did I mention sharp tools?

New!

$Buck$ Pen Blanks

These blanks are made of shredded U.S. currency and acrylic resin.  Since the main ingredient is paper there WILL be little air bubbles that will become exposed during the turning process.  I strongly recommend that you take the time to view the two instructional videos that Ed produced showing you how to deal with hiding the brass tube and filling the little holes.  Did I mention that sharp tools are an absolute necessity?

Sold as a pair.  The blanks measure approximately 1" x 1" x 2 1/2" and 1" x 1" x 3 1/4" long.  The longer blank can easily be used to create a closed end pen.  Cost is $6.95 per pair.  To order Click Here.

3D Bottle Stopper Blocks

EPR Blanks

EPR (Ed's Polyester Resin) has been in development over the past year and is finally available in large stopper and kaleidoscope sized blocks. Ed Davidson ("Mr. Bottle Stopper") has gone through over 200+ gallons of resin experimenting with hundreds of colors and color combinations to get the formulas and blending process just right.

EPR pen blanks are available in 10 different two and three color-blend combinations.  Each pen blank set (pair) will be a little different from the next with unique swirls and blending of the colors.   Each blank is hand made and those currently available are listed below.

The EPR pen blanks turn and finish like a normal acrylic pen blank.  Sharp tools, a light touch and the appropriate finishing techniques will produce a beautiful, one-of-a-kind pen!

Each blank measures 3/4" in diameter.  One blank is  x 2 1/2" long (minimum) and the other is 3 1/4" long.  These pen blanks are sold in pairs and one pair will produce one complete pen including closed-end pens.  Keep in mind that these blanks are handmade and no two are exactly alike.  Each pair of pen blanks cost $3.75.

All the cigar pens and bottle stoppers shown below
were made and photographed by Ed Davidson using the EPR material.

Only two defining forces have ever offered to die for you:

One died for your soul and the other for your freedom.

A friend sent me the following:

What is a Veteran?   A "Veteran" -- whether active duty, discharged, retired, or reserve -- is someone who, at one point in his or her life, wrote a blank check made payable to "The United States of America" for an amount of up to and including his or her life.
